However, there is more than just a murder to deal with in the Texas border-town of San Bonifacio, as a search for a killer soon turns into an all-consuming fight to bring her corrupt hometown to its knees.
In the opening episode, Allegra Dill touches down at the San Bonifacio airport in Texas, but her return to her small hometown near the U.S.-Mexico border is almost surreal. Not only is her sister dead, but half the animals from the zoo have also escaped and are now loitering around town.

Felicity Dill was a local cop killed by a car bomb and Allegra is determined to find out who was behind the devastating attack on her sibling.
