Rush follows the lives of members of the prestigious Tactical Response team (TR), which is based on the real-life Victoria Police Critical Incident Response Team, a highly mobile unit that fills the operational gap between general duties police and the SWAT-like Special Operations Group.
The highly mobile team are trained to intercept and - hopefully - defuse violent and dangerous incidents, aiming to stop criminals in the act rather than chasing them down after the fact.
Responding to violent incidents such as carjackings, suicides attempts and armed offences, it all adds up to a truly gripping portrait of police under pressure.
