Medical drama and police procedural are cleverly fused together in this long-running show following a sleuthing surgeon taking on a grisly new case in each episode. Nigel Le Vaillant plays the eponymous Paul Dangerfield, struggling to balance the conflicting demands of being a small town doctor and a police surgeon, whilst also bringing up his two children by himself, following the death of his wife in a car accident.
