Luella Shakespeare

Framed for her own fiance's murder, bright and bubbly Luella Shakespeare gets a taste for sleuthing when she teams up with Frank to clear her name. A hairdresser by trade, Lu packs it all in to become Frank's private eye partner - she may need to learn the ropes but she has a good eye for detail and having a real people person on the team is just what Frank needs.
Frank Hathaway

Played by Mark Benton

First hired by Luella to find out if her fiance was having an affair, Frank is a former police detective, now plying his trade as a private sleuth. Down-on-his-luck, disheveled and disorganised, Frank is a natural bloodhound nonetheless, although his interpersonal skills are somewhat lacking... thank goodness he's found a cheery, charming partner-in-crime!
Sebastian Brudenell

Played by Patrick Walshe McBride

A luvvie through and through, Sebastian is a struggling actor who earns a bit of money on the side by being Frank's assistant... that is, he would be if Frank wasn't so late on payments. The RADA-trained thespian is often called on to flex his acting chops when he's sent undercover in a variety of guises to help crack cases.
Detective Inspector Christina Marlowe

Played by Amber Agar

Christina Marlowe is the local Detective Inspector for the Arden constabulary and usually has the officious Detective Sergeant Joseph Keeler by her side. If she seems slightly short tempered, it might well be because Frank keeps turning up at her crime scenes and he used to be her boss when he was on her force.
