Episode 1

Val's birthday party should be a happy occasion, but the shock announcement that Val and Denis are separating divides the family. The family unit fractures further when Val's daughter goes missing and her husband suddenly dies, but was it an accident, suicide, or perhaps even murder?
Episode 2

Val's daughter Grace is in a coma having wondered into the waters surrounding the family's property. Val is scared the police will begin to suspect Grace as Denis's killer and interpret her suicide attempt as an indication of her guilt.
Episode 3

The stress mounts as Val's new lover, Carl, is arrested on suspicion of looking at illegal material online, so she moves back to the Ahern family home. In Carl's distress he reveals that Denis threatened him at the party. Is it pure coincidence that Carl went for a run the night Denis was murdered?
Episode 4

Callum, stepson to Anna (Val and Denis' middle child) and Rory, goes missing. Val is aware of the rocky relationship Callum has with his father Rory, and is worried Callum may have mistaken Denis for Rory on the night of the party. Is going to the police and telling them to find Callum a risk she is willing to take?
Episode 5

Jenny, Val and Denis' oldest child, is found to have been stealing from the local surgeries accounts to expedite her father's Ocean View property development. Meanwhile, Rory opens up about his terminal illness causing Callum to withdraw emotionally. Sgt Manning arrives at the Ahern house to take Callum in for questioning and a weakened Rory is powerless to stop him.
Episode 6

While being questioned, CCTV footage is revealed of Callum out on the night of Denis's death. With new evidence from the autopsy suggesting that Denis had been struck before falling to his death, is Callum now the number one suspect?
