Set in 1920s Toronto, the action-packed series follows the city's only female private detectives as they fight crime in the age of flyboys, gangsters, rum-runners, and speakeasies.
The fourth series sees Frankie (Lauren Lee Smith) and partner Trudy (Chantal Riley) investigate more intriguing mysteries with a fearless sense of adventure, aided along the way by morality officer Mary Shaw (Rebecca Liddiard) and morgue assistant Flo Chakowitz (Sharron Matthews).
Series 4 also sees the return of Wendy Crewson as Nora Amory (aka Nora Drake), Frankie's errant mother who gets spooked out at Halloween when she thinks she witnesses the apparition of a murdered woman.
And Frankie has a new love interest in the shape of Alessandro Contento (Jonathan Sousa) a suave European race car driver.
In the opening episode, Scavenger Hunt, our gals are taking part in a spirited adventure game when one of the players is mysteriously murdered. Later on in the series, the team look into the case of a kidnapped Prince, a stolen bottle of priceless wine and a murder at a fencing competition.
