Dr. Daniel Pierce

Recruited by the FBI to help them solve complex cases, Dr. Daniel Pierce is an eccentric professor of neuroscience struggling with schizophrenia. He has an intimate knowledge of human behavior and an extraordinary understanding of the mind which gives him a unique ability to read people.
Kate Moretti

A former student of Dr. Pierce, Kate is the FBI agent responsible for recruiting him. She has a sharp mind and intuition and wants to rise to the top of the FBI hierarchy, by collaborating with Dr. Pierce on difficult cases involving psychiatric or neurological components.

There's definitely a spark between Daniel and Kate, but whether these two mavericks ever acknowledge their feelings remains to be seen...
Matt Lewicki

Dr. Pierce's teaching assistant whose primary job is to keep Daniel focussed and in line. Lewicki handles his demanding schedule and takes care of his domestic demands and more importantly, he keeps Pierce centered and stable. He is Daniel's alarm when his intuitions are off-base or when he seems to have trouble distinguishing what's real and whats not.
Natalie Vincent

Dr. Pierce's best friend and every bit his intellectual equal. Pierce recollects thatt hey met in grad school, they dated briefly but have remained close platonic friends ever since and Daniel wouldn't mind if the romance was renewed. Their friendship is the closest thing he has ever had to a normal relationship, but as with so many things in Daniel's life, things aren't always what they seem.
