Tate Ellington Biography
Born in 1979 in Mississippi, Tate Ellington is an American television and film actor who graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in theatre performance. While at high school he was a starting center for the school American football team.
Tate's first big break came with the 2006 film The Elephant King, starring as Oliver Hunt, for which he won Best Actor at the 2006 Brooklyn International Film Festival.
More recently he has played Bryan Turner in Straight Outta Compton and Dr. Stomberg in Sinister 2, both released in 2015.
Tate has also had appearances in alibi series Castle and The Glades, portraying Henry Wright in the episode "Clear & Present Danger" and Richard Oberman in the episode "Close Encounters", respectively.
