About Constable Henry Higgins
Henry Higgins (Lachlan Murdoch) is perhaps not the sharpest tool at Toronto's Station House Four - in fact this police constable can sometimes make the guileless George Crabtree appear as smart as Murdoch - but he’s diligent and devoted to the job nonetheless.
Often paired with Crabtree on cases, Higgins thinks of George as his best pal, although the feeling doesn’t appear to be entirely mutual. Although tasked with assisting George, Higgins is prone to veer off and do his own thing, which doesn’t usually lead to great results. But he usually gets a chance to redeem himself before a case is finally cracked.
Higgins is introduced to socialite Ruth Newsome in Series 10 but the path of true love never runs smooth and, when she returns in Series 11, she reveals she is to be married. Luckily for Henry, her fiance turns out to be a murderer (!) and the couple get engaged and finally tie the knot in Series 12.
