About Margaret Brackenreid
Inspector Brackenreid's long-suffering and loyal wife, Margaret (Arwen Humphreys) is Thomas's ideal counterpart. A product of the times, Margaret may not buy into the votes for women, but she has learned from the women who went before her how to manage a husband without him knowing.
Margaret is a very passionate woman, who is always very determined in everything she does and, despite some ups and downs, she and Thomas have had a long and happy marriage and have two fine sons, Bobby and John.
Although she disapproves of Thomas' drinking habits and the fact that his profession has occasionally brought her family into danger, she knew what she was getting into when she married a copper and has no regrets.
